Tell us we are wrong
This site publishes facts about named institutions, taken from registers those institutions do not control. Some of it will be wrong, and the people most likely to notice work at the institution concerned. This page is for them, and for anyone else who spots something.
What we will do
- 01We check it against the source. Every figure here comes from a published register or dataset, and each page names which. If the source says what we say, we will show you where — the record may be wrong at the Home Office or the OfS rather than here, and that is worth knowing too.
- 02If we are wrong, we fix it and say so. Corrections are made in the data, not by editing a page, so the fix survives the next rebuild. Where a correction changes something a reader may already have acted on, it is recorded in the change log rather than quietly swapped.
- 03If the source is wrong, we say that too. We will not overwrite a register with a claim we cannot verify — a tracker that edits the record on request is no longer a record. What we will do is note the dispute on the page, in your words, alongside what the register says.
How quickly, and what if it is damaging
Every correction gets a reply within five working days, from the person who maintains the site, not an autoresponder. Most are answered the same day.
If this site has published something about your institution that is both wrong and damaging — a compliance flag you do not have, a standing worse than the register gives you, a removal that did not happen — say so in the first line and email corrections@sponsorrecord.com rather than using the form. The disputed statement comes down while it is checked — not the page, and not your record, but the specific claim — and that happens within the same five working days. It goes back only if the source supports it, and the page then says what was checked and when.
That is deliberately weighted towards taking a claim down first and arguing afterwards. A wrong flag against a named school costs it enrolments while we deliberate; a missing line on this site costs nothing but this site.
Five working days rather than one, because this site is maintained by one person and a promise that only holds while they are at their desk is not a promise. If it is urgent, say so in the subject line — urgent things do get looked at sooner, they are just not promised sooner. The register itself is always the authority, and it is linked from every page.

The register itself is snapshotted from gov.uk every working day since 2 Sept 2026; the 34 snapshots held before then are occasional, going back to 26 Jan 2024, and the methodology lists every date. This site holds the register published 7 Sept 2026. A licence that changed today may not be here until tomorrow, and that is not an error we can fix by hand.
What this site will not do
It will not remove an institution’s page on request. The register is public, and a tracker that can be edited by the parties it tracks is worth nothing to the agents who rely on it. It also publishes no risk scores, no rankings and no predictions — only what the registers state, on the date they stated it. Methodology →
